CHIN SURGERY

This surgery may be performed to reshape the outline of the neck by correcting the chin’s size and shape.

The incision is done in the natural fold located under the chin or in the gingival groove in the mouth the extra fatty tissue is removed by he surgeon either with a scalpel, scissors of liposuction.

Chin’s shape and size may be redone. If needed, a silicon implant will be placed under chin muscles, through an incision done in side the mouth,

Very small chins require bone surgery in the area where the implant will be placed.

Chin surgery is usually performed along with nose surgery to balance the aesthetics of the face.

Duration: 20 to 30 minutes.

Anesthesia: Local o general.

Hospitalization: Ambulatory.

Recovery: patient may go back to work in 5 days and may star exercising again in 5 weeks.
